Pittsburgh and Pinball

Pittsburgh and Pinball

We recently took a road trip to Pittsburgh, PA to sample a bit of what the town has to offer. We had never been to the city but were excited to explore.

We rolled in late afternoon and checked into the hotel. We stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh Downtown which is in a beautiful historic building on the top floors of a 25 story high rise. It definitely provided a unique perspective and some cool views.

We had just enough time to ride the Duquesne Incline as it provides one of the best views of the city and is packed with amazing historical photos.

The next day we went to Pinball PA, which is one of the coolest arcades I have ever been to. You pay a flat fee and you get to play as many games as you can for two hours. They had some rare pinball machines, skeeball, a flight simulator, and tons of other games.

The next day we went to the Carnegie Science Museum in the morning. For lunch we hit up a Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives feature called Kelly O's. The food was delicious!

We went to the Heinz Museum in the afternoon and learned a ton about western Pennsylvania and the Heinz Corporation. It was very cool seeing the original set pieces from Mr Rogers.

There was a beautiful building across the street from our hotel so I went over at night to get a shot.

I'm looking forward to visiting again sometime in the future to explore more of downtown. The architecture is truly amazing.
